This is an interesting article I found linked to on BoingBoing. It's about an autistic savant who can tell scientists about the mental processes he goes through when he does lightning-quick mathmatical calculations. It would be interesting to recreate this method in a gamelike environment and see if people can be trained to think in this fashion. Here's the link.
