Best Comic this Week

The new job is cramping my blogging abilities. Well, better late than never.

Here's what I got this week:

Overall, it was a pretty good week. Quasar was a little tepid, but Countdown was better this week, as it concentrated on the Trickster / Pied Piper storyline, which is probably the only one worth reading. Everything else was pretty decent. A couple of the books: Welcome to Tranquility and Wolverine, were books I failed to get at the time they came out, so they aren't exactly new, which makes it interesting, because Wolverine #56 is my best comic of the week!

This was actually from last month, but I had wanted to buy it due to this preview, and it was worth it. Wolverine finds himself in a pit with no knowledge of how he got there. At the top of the pit is a turret with a machine gun on it. Every couple of minutes or so, a guy sits in the turret and shoots Wolverine for a while, making sure that all Wolverine can do is sit and heal, with no chance of escape. How Wolverine makes his escape is pretty rivetting.
